Intro:
PowerPoint is one of the most common presentation tools used in classrooms today. It allows teachers and students to organize and share information visually through slides that can include text, images, videos, and animations.
Versatility:
PowerPoint is extremely versatile in education. It can be used for lectures, student projects, interactive lessons, and group work. Teachers can embed videos, images, and sounds to make lessons more engaging.
Use in Classroom:
In the classroom, PowerPoint can be used for instruction, visual aids, and student presentations. Teachers can use slides to guide lessons and reinforce key points while keeping students visually engaged. Students can also use PowerPoint to demonstrate understanding, present research, or work on creative storytelling projects.
Connection:
PowerPoint connects to TLC: T2 – Planning and Instructing. It supports lesson planning and helps teachers organize and deliver content effectively. It also encourages students to plan, design, and communicate their ideas clearly.
Hi Isabel. I thought your detail on PowerPoint was very detailed in explaining its purpose in the classroom. I like that you connect PowerPoint specifically to TLC T2 in planning and instructing. I think that PowerPoint is a great tool for giving instruction for students. It easily displays lesson objective and main points to a lesson. However, I do argue that PowerPoint is getting pushed out by modern technology platforms like Google Slides and Canva. Other than that I would say PowerPoint is a great technology to use in the classroom. Thank you for sharing.
